TASK

Rooted in Dhonekhali, Hooghly district, West Bengal, the weaving movement began in 1935 during the Swadeshi revival. Master pit-loom artisans refined fine cotton weaving to create ultra-breathable, featherlight drapes for the Bengal summer.

PROCESS

Woven with 100s × 100s high-density fine cotton yarn, ensuring zero colour bleed and exceptional drape memory. The iconic Khajurichoti (date-palm braid) pallu is created by twisting individual warp threads by hand — a technique unique to Hooghly craftsmen.
